Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for a portion of eastern Saskatchewan.

Meteorologist Albert Skiba said late Wednesday afternoon that much of the province is in for a good dumping of snow. It will be accompanied by strong winds in some areas, leading to blowing snow and poor visibility while driving.

Skiba said the storm was expected to hit late Wednesday.

“Five to 10 centimetres (2-4 inches) of snow for much of Southern Saskatchewan,” he told News Talk Radio.
