Two Raider players to play in the 2011 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge

Prince Albert Raider forwards  Mike Winther and Shane Danyluk have been named to Team Pacific for the 2011 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.

The tournament is made up of 10 teams.  Five teams are from Canada, and the rest consist of the United States, Czech Republic, Germany, Finland and Slovakia.

Winther is from Trochu, Alberta, and was the Raiders 1st round selection in the 2009 WHL Bantam draft.  He has four goals in 21 games this season with Prince Albert.

Danyluk is from Salmon Arm, BC, and was the Raiders 2nd round selection in the 2009 draft.  He was hampered by an ankle injury early in the season, and has two assists in nine games.

Also, Raider's Assistant Coach Craig Bedard will be one of the assistant coaches with Team BC.

The tournament will be held from Dec. 28 to Jan. 4 in Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
