RCMP investigators conclude that a deadly crash near Colonsay Friday night happened after an SUV blew a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 16 and the Colonsay grid.

The SUV smashed into the side of a semi loaded with lumber. The 20-year-old Elstow man behind the wheel wasn't wearing his seatbelt. He was partially ejected and died from his injuries at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

The man's family has been notified, but his name will not be released.

The 46-year-old man driving the semi was not injured.
